Out of all the tangy fruits out there from lemons to pomegranates, nothing comes close to the intense flavor of the rhubarb. This fruit-like vegetable bears a similar resemblance and structure to celery with the exception of its vibrant red color. Its been a classic staple in English society until it made it's way to the United States where it was an instant hit. Although today rhubarb pie may seem like a less popular candidate, I assure you it is the best dessert to eat if you are looking for something that is equally tart as it is sweet.
